SALES / TECHNICAL CONTACT

Listen to the challenge and connect it to engineering.

This role first receives the customer’s difficulty. You connect what you hear to in-house design and manufacturing and work together through to a solution. You also handle quotations, delivery-date coordination, and overseas projects.

A typical 1-day schedule

  • 8:45 Arrive at work, attend a sales meeting, and check email

    Check messages from customers and manufacturers and organize the day’s activities.

  • 9:00 Internal discussions

    Align project progress and delivery dates with design and manufacturing.

  • 11:00 Responding to inquiries and quotations

    We listen to customers' challenges and prepare quotations.

  • 12:15 Break

    Lunch break.

  • 13:00 Business meetings and discussions

    Confirm specifications and consider technical proposals; some days include communication with overseas customers.

  • 16:00 Preparing materials and reporting

    Prepare proposal materials and keep project records.

  • 17:30 Leave work

    The workday is complete.

DESIGN

Turn drawings into something that works on the floor.

Design dies and special-purpose machines. Respond to customer requests, use simulation technology to verify risks in advance, and consider a form that is easy to use on the floor. Being able to consult sales and manufacturing colleagues immediately is another attraction of the role.

A good fit for people who enjoy thinking of new ideas and learning new things, and who can concentrate on work at their own pace. CAD experience is welcome, but careful support makes it possible to start with confidence even without prior experience.

A typical 1-day schedule

  • 8:15 Arrival and morning meeting

    Confirm the day’s design tasks and priorities.

  • 9:00 2D and 3D design and bill-of-materials preparation

    Design with sufficient function while meeting the specifications of the die or special-purpose machine.

  • 11:00 Running and reviewing simulations

    We verify risks in advance and review and improve the geometry.

  • 12:15 Break

    Lunch break.

  • 13:00 Align with the workplace and sales

    Discuss specifications and confirm product accuracy with manufacturing, assembly, and sales colleagues.

  • 15:00 Attending tryouts

    Attend product tryouts and operation checks and check for problems.

  • 17:00 Leave work

    The workday is complete.

MACHINING

Cut metal and create the highest accuracy.

Machine die and special-purpose machine components to high precision on machining centers, wire EDM machines, and other equipment. Read drawings and handle everything from program creation and setup through finishing.
Use a wide variety of machines for machining.

  • 8:15 Arrival and morning meeting

    Confirm the day’s machining schedule and setup.

  • 9:00 Creating machining programs and selecting cutting tools

    Read drawings, create machining programs, and select cutting tools.

  • 10:00 Setup and machining (machining and EDM)

    Machine die and special-purpose machine components to high precision on the assigned machine.

  • 12:15 Break

    Lunch break.

  • 13:00 Continuing machining and finishing

    Proceed while measuring the finished work, asking about anything unclear on the spot.

  • 16:30 Dimensional check and cleanup

    Check the finished work, prepare for the next day, and clean the area.

  • 17:00 Leave work

    The workday is complete.

ASSEMBLY

Assemble the components and finish one complete product.

As the culmination of every process, assemble machined components and use hand finishing and adjustment to verify the reliable operation and quality of dies and special-purpose machines. This finishing stage, where final fitting affects product quality, also includes tryouts on our in-house press and operation checks for special-purpose machines.

  • 13:00 Checking operation and adjusting accuracy

    We adjust each part and finish it as one product.

  • 15:00 Tryout and operation check

    Perform tryouts on our in-house press and operation checks for special-purpose machines.

  • 17:00 Leave work
